About VedaSudhi Clinic
Vedasudha is a group of dedicated and deeply convinced Vedic wisdom Ayurvedic doctors and therapists, Ayurvedic pharmacists, and chefs. Here, it is believed that, besides herbs and treatments, love is the most effective medicine for healing. The clinic's staff are educated in both traditional Vedic knowledge and academic programmes relevant to their specialities. This ensures that each patient receives the best treatment tailored to their individual situation.
Here they not only practice Ayurveda, but also strive to adhere to Ayurvedic principles.
At the Vedasudhi Ayurvedic Hospital (in Vayala), both outpatient and inpatient treatment is available. The treatments are designed not only to heal your body, but also to relieve stress, soothe your emotions and help you achieve a happier and healthier lifestyle by balancing your body, mind and soul.
The Vedasuddhi site is special as Vedic ceremonies have been conducted there regularly for over 1300 years.
Accommodation
Guest houses and treatment buildings are constructed separately to ensure maximum privacy. The architecture of the buildings and the layout of the grounds are strictly based on Vastu, the Vedic science of architectural design for healthy living. There are no air conditioners or televisions in the rooms.
Ecology
Own water sources, and most of the electricity comes from solar panels. The kitchen prepares and serves only Ayurvedic, vegetarian, sattvic food. Sattvic food helps maintain mental clarity. Three hot meals a day are provided for guests. Special meals are prepared for people with serious illnesses. In addition to vegetables from their own garden, organically grown vegetables are supplied to the clinic by local farmers.
Ayurvedic treatment
According to Ayurveda, health is defined as the balance of the three doshas in the body. Furthermore, illnesses can be triggered by the accumulation of so-called ama (metabolic waste products) in the body, caused by a poor lifestyle, as well as unhealthy dietary habits that disrupt normal metabolism.
Ayurvedic treatment involves expelling this ama from the body's various channels, thereby correcting metabolism and improving symptoms.
After treatment, Ayurvedic medicines and recommendations for a healthy lifestyle are provided to stabilise and maintain the restored body.
Panchakarma
Panchakarma is carried out in three consecutive stages:
- Purvakarma - Measures and treatment to prepare for actual Panchakarma therapy
- pradhana karma – five main procedures, i.e. actual panchakarma
- Follow-up treatment to enhance or maintain the effects of primary treatments
A patient, who chooses one of five main treatment methods depending on their individual condition, must always go through all three stages.
