About Yogosudha Clinic
At Yogasudha Ayurvedic Hospital, both outpatient and inpatient treatments are provided. The treatments are designed not only to heal your body but also to relieve stress, soothe emotions, and help you achieve a more joyful and healthy lifestyle by balancing your body, mind, and soul.
Accommodation
The guesthouses and treatment buildings are built separately from each other to ensure maximum privacy. The design of the buildings and the layout of the grounds are strictly based on Vastu, the Vedic science of healthy living. There are no air conditioners or televisions in the rooms.
Ecology
Own water sources, and most of the electricity comes from solar panels. The kitchen prepares and serves only Ayurvedic, vegetarian, sattvic food. Sattvic food helps maintain mental clarity. Three hot meals a day are provided for guests. Special meals are prepared for people with serious illnesses. In addition to vegetables from their own garden, organically grown vegetables are supplied to the clinic by local farmers.
Yoga
The Yoga Sudha Centre's instructors have put together a special programme of classes for patients. These are gentle exercises in the sense that the practitioner is not overly strained physically or mentally during the Panchakarma course. This could be detrimental to the success of the treatment.
Nevertheless, the chosen exercises are very effective. They have an impact on internal organs such as the liver, spleen, pancreas, stomach and intestines, and are believed to regulate their functions and especially Agni, the digestive fire. A well-functioning Agni is key to good health and is important for the success of Ayurvedic procedures.
The daily programme includes one hour of yoga asanas, about 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra and about 20-30 minutes of pranayama. Participation is optional.
Once a year, a special three-week yoga retreat is held at the Yogasudha Ayurvedic Hospital. The retreat includes practical yoga classes, theoretical sessions, cleansing techniques, gentle Ayurvedic treatments, meditation, mantra chanting, yogic-sattvic food, and much more.
Panchakarma
Panchakarma is carried out in three consecutive stages:
- Purvakarma - Measures and treatment to prepare for actual Panchakarma therapy
- pradhana karma – five main procedures, i.e. actual panchakarma
- Follow-up treatment to enhance or maintain the effects of primary treatments
A patient, who chooses one of five main treatment methods depending on their individual condition, must always go through all three stages.
