Treatment

During the initial consultation, doctors will gather a medical history and conduct an examination based on Ayurvedic principles (Darshana – inspection and observation, Sparshana – palpation, examination, auscultation, Prashna – questioning about overall health, with particular attention to your lifestyle, diet, habits, and environment).

Based on this assessment, you are under the care of Dr:

• Analyse the imbalance of the board
• Your body constitution (Prakriti)
• Select procedures for specific conditions and output the accumulated toxins, which are the root cause of most problems.
• Plan a diet according to a specific imbalance
• Prepare your body for the maximum effect of oral medications.
• Get recommendations for restoring your natural balance, which always include lifestyle changes, diet, and so on.

The treatments at Nattika are based on the principles of Shodhana (body purification), Shamana (pacification), and Rasayana (rejuvenation), as described in classical Ayurveda.

stages of treatment

• The preparatory stage (poorva karma) includes the intake of medicated ghee and other medicinal substances, as well as various external procedures.
• This is followed by the main purification therapy (pradhana-karma).
• After a course of purification, a supportive therapy (Panchakarma) is carried out, aimed at gradually restoring digestive function, energy and bringing the doshas into a balanced state. It includes special procedures and recommendations on nutrition, physical activity and taking medication.

This cycle may repeat several times depending on the condition and progression of symptoms. In Ayurveda, adhering to diet and an activity regimen is considered no less important than taking medication and receiving treatment. The entire healing process is managed through specific diets, yoga, and exercises that take into account individual constitution, climate, and imbalances.

Yoga

At Nattika Beach Ayurvedic Resort, yoga masters conduct soulful yoga and meditation sessions at Moksha, our yoga centre, set against the backdrop of the pristine ocean and a celestial sunset. Yoga asanas are performed according to individual needs after discussions with doctors and yoga teachers. At the end of your wellness programme, the yoga team will prepare a practice plan for you to follow upon returning home.

In the evenings, on special occasions, Moksha Yoga Centre also becomes a venue for cultural events from all over Kerala.

Kitchen

Your Ayurvedic diet and medicines necessary to achieve the desired result are prepared directly on the Natica complex premises. The Ayurvedic restaurant "Vapika", along with its in-house dietitians, will ensure maximum care and service during your stay.

All details of the Ayurvedic diet, including medicine schedules and dietary recommendations, will be prepared after a doctor's consultation and passed on to the Nattika Beach Ayurveda Resort kitchen, which is well-equipped and ready to cater to all your dietary needs.

The restaurant team, led by Mr. Kalai, carefully follows the doctor's recommendations and takes care of all your needs. The exquisite Ayurvedic buffet-style menu is divided into three categories: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. All ingredients are farm-fresh, and the menu uses products that promote recovery.

Chef Joji Sebastian and his team have perfected ancient Ayurvedic recipes, and will be delighted to introduce them to you at weekly culinary masterclasses.
