Kitchen and nutrition at the SwaSwara Panchakarma and Detox Centre
Adherence to local traditions gives rise to a cuisine that is as unique as it is delicious and wholesome.
The ingredients for the SwaSwara kitchen are carefully selected. Here, they prefer to cook food grown in harmony with nature on healthy soil. All products are organic, sourced from the vegetable farm located on the SwaSwara premises and from surrounding villages – including seasonal tropical fruits, vegetables, and freshly caught seafood. This is complemented by fresh juices and natural herbal teas. Dairy and eggs are used in limited quantities in local dishes, as are oils.
The menu has no meat, spirits, sugar or refined flour.
Each wellness programme at the centre includes a full board of diverse vegetarian dishes. Based on an analysis of prakriti/body constitution conducted by an Ayurvedic doctor, each guest is prescribed a pure sattvic diet tailored to their dosha, which must be strictly adhered to.
