Ayurvedic treatment at Travancore Heritage centre
Ayurveda — the perfect ancient science of life. This science is more than 4000 years old. The word «Ayur» literally means life, and «Veda» means science of knowledge. This implies related ideas, the science and art of living. Ayurveda, which was initiated by the renowned sages—Sushruta, Charaka, and Vagbhata, includes a worldview that is ecological and egocentric in spirit. It emphasizes the preventive rather than the curative aspect and focuses on a healthy and enlightened lifestyle. When Ayurveda was lost in other parts of India during the medieval period due to foreign invasion, it was only in Kerala that it was preserved, and for this reason, Kerala developed its own Ayurvedic treatments known as Kerala Panchakarma. And they are all practised at Travancore Heritage clinic.
