Treatment in India according to Ayurveda
Treatment in India according to Ayurveda is a course wellness programme at an Ayurvedic clinic: a consultation and diagnosis with the doctor, individual procedures and nutrition under the supervision of specialists. People go specifically to India because there Ayurveda is a living tradition with working clinics and doctors, and a full course requires time and a suitable environment. We select the clinic and the programme to match your goal and accompany the trip.

Why people go to India for Ayurvedic treatment
Ayurveda originated in India and remains there a part of everyday medicine, not only of wellness. A few reasons why people go there specifically for treatment:- A living tradition and experience. Ayurvedic clinics in India have been operating for decades, the doctors (vaidyas) practise according to classical principles, and the procedures are carried out by trained therapists.
- A full course, not a one-off procedure. Ayurvedic treatment is built as a course (from 1–2 weeks to the classic 3–4), with preparation, a main stage and recovery. It is difficult to set aside the time and conditions for this at home.
- A suitable climate and environment. The warm climate of Kerala and southern India is traditionally considered favourable for oil procedures and recovery; the very setting of the clinic tunes you to rest and routine.
- An individual approach. The programme is selected to suit your constitution (dosha) and current condition, rather than according to a general protocol.
- Reasonable cost. A course at an Indian clinic with accommodation and meals is usually more affordable than a stay of comparable length at European wellness centres.
What people turn to Ayurveda for
According to Ayurvedic ideas, at the root of many chronic conditions lies an imbalance of the doshas and the accumulation of the undigested (ama); the programmes are aimed at cleansing, restoring balance and strengthening the body as a whole, rather than at an isolated symptom. Traditionally people turn to Ayurvedic clinics in India for:- digestive problems — the stomach and gastrointestinal tract, Liver, the pancreas;
- the joints and spine, back;
- the heart and blood vessels, blood pressure;
- the thyroid gland and metabolic disorders;
- breathing, frequent colds;
- chronic fatigue, stress, sleep disturbances;
- the need for general cleansing and prevention — detox and body cleansing.
Ayurvedic clinics in India for treatment
We work with vetted clinics in Kerala and other regions — from budget to premium, with doctors and a full therapeutic base. Choose one to suit the region, level and price:How treatment at an Ayurvedic clinic is arranged
A programme at a clinic is a sequence, not a set of random procedures:
- Consultation with the doctor. The vaidya asks about complaints, way of life and nutrition.
- Diagnosis. Your constitution and current imbalance are determined — including by the pulse (nadi), the tongue and examination. More — Ayurvedic diagnosis and how the doshas.
- An individual programme. A plan is drawn up to suit your constitution and condition: cleansing and oil procedures, massages, and when indicated — Panchakarma (a course of cleansing consisting of classical procedures).
- Nutrition and routine. Part of the treatment is Ayurvedic nutrition suited to your dosha, and a daily routine.
- Monitoring and adjustment. During the course the doctor monitors the condition and changes the prescriptions; at the end recommendations for home are given.
How we help organise the trip
All that is left for you is to arrive and focus on yourself — we take on the organisation: choosing a clinic and a programme to match your request and budget, help with the visa, transfer, and being in touch throughout. In detail about the formats, destinations and logistics of the trip — on the page Ayurvedic tours to India. A full Panchakarma programme is undergone at clinics in India.How much treatment in India costs
The cost is made up of the clinic and its level, the length of the course, the season and the type of accommodation; meals, procedures and the doctor’s supervision are usually already included in the programme. As a guide — from budget options to premium resorts (prices by clinic can be seen in the catalogue). You can calculate a specific programme for your request via an application.Medical tourism to India: the place of Ayurveda
Ayurvedic treatment is part of medical tourism to India, but with its own profile. Unlike trips for surgery, dentistry or narrow procedures, Ayurveda is a traditional wellness system: it works as a course, with an emphasis on cleansing, nutrition and the restoration of balance. That is why the result here is not a «quick repair» but the support of the body as a whole.Frequently asked questions about treatment in India
At vetted clinics the procedures are carried out by trained therapists under a doctor’s supervision, and the programme is selected individually. As with any wellness practice, in cases of chronic illnesses it is worth agreeing the trip and the programme with your attending doctor in advance.
No. At the clinics we work with there is communication in English, and we accompany you in Russian at all stages — from selection to the trip.
Introductory programmes — from 7–10 days; a full course of cleansing and recovery traditionally takes 21–28 days. The doctor recommends the specific duration for your condition.
Yes, with most chronic conditions Ayurveda traditionally works precisely as a course. But Ayurveda does not replace prescribed treatment: if you are under a doctor’s care and taking medicines, agree the trip and the programme with them.
A sanatorium is general rest and physiotherapy; an Ayurvedic clinic works according to its own traditional system: diagnosis by constitution, an individual programme of procedures, Ayurvedic nutrition and the supervision of a vaidya.

We thank manager Olga Solovyova for recommending that we choose the «Atreya» clinic in Kottayam for treatment. Olga carefully accompanied us at all stages: clinic selection, paperwork, and initial consultations (assisting with translation). Olga approached her work with genuine care, sincerely worried about us, and rejoiced in our results. We always felt her support!
The clinic is excellent! All the staff: the manager, doctors, therapists, cooks, and housekeepers treated us like family. They created an atmosphere of kindness, care, and a sincere desire to help and heal us! Constant attention accompanied us from the first day to the last. After 21 days of staying at the clinic, we felt rested, rejuvenated, and full of energy. We definitely want to return next year!

Good day to all!
This was my first visit to India, to the state of Kerala, and the Ideal Ayurvedic Resort. I arranged everything through Panchakarma Club. To say I had an unforgettable experience is an understatement. From the very beginning, Nina, my travel agent, was in contact with me, helping me choose the location and organise the trip.
My two-week stay at the Ayurvedic resort was simply superb, from the airport pick-up to the treatments. The staff, service, and food were all top-notch.
I have looked at local Ayurvedic centres, and I must note that while there were centres of a higher standard, Ideal Ayurvedic Resort offers good value for money.
After two weeks of treatment, my general well-being has noticeably improved, my mood is better, I've lost excess weight, and my sleep, hair, and skin have been restored.
I left with the intention of returning to this place again…
In my review, I sincerely thank you for helping me discover India in the best possible way!!!
My dream has come true in the best way possible, and I want to share my review and express my sincere gratitude to this Panchakarma clinic selection agency 🤍🙏🏻 I'll only be working with you from now on! On the very first day I reached out for help with selection, they sent me a list that matched my criteria. Manager Olga was in touch with me for six months!!! I planned this trip for half a year, and every time I messaged the manager, I received an immediate response. In the end, I chose Betsaida Hermitage.
My sincere thanks go in particular to Olga, who helped me get my visa in the month leading up to my trip. During this time, I also experienced some difficulties, but I was constantly supported. Great assistance was provided with transferring funds, bookings, and the entire organisation. As I was travelling alone and for the first time to India, I needed to feel some support, and from you, this support was felt from the first day I sent my message. Thanks to this, I travelled to India alone with an absolute sense of security ❤️ I wish your agency growth and prosperity, you helped me a lot!
I could also write a whole essay about the clinic; it's a beautiful, heavenly place! My Panchakarma took place in the summer (not peak tourist season), so the clinic wasn't full of people, which was just what I needed! I paid for a room without air conditioning, but I was checked into a superior room with a wonderful view and air conditioning 😍 All the staff here are very friendly and pleasant; I'm really impressed. To put it briefly: I'm very happy with my choice! The treatments are top-notch; all the fruits and vegetables are from their own garden. My doctor, Dr. Shayana P.S., is very attentive and considers every detail. The masseurs are just lovely. Everything has started to fall into place, the improvements are noticeable, my requests were heard and taken into account nicely, the approach was very individual (I also had additional tests done, which I recommend to everyone).
The hotel grounds are just like in the pictures. The rooms are cleaned every day, everything is clean and decent. The rooms are large, and the grounds are spacious with their own clean access to the ocean. Overall, it's paradise here; you'll definitely find yourself again.
Good day! I have finally found the time for a review) Once again I want to thank the whole Panchakarma Club agency from the bottom of my heart, and especially the manager Olga! I really enjoyed my stay at Greens. The main feature of the clinic for me is the atmosphere. I did not feel as if I were receiving treatment; I was very comfortable and content there, as if at home 🥰 Although the treatment I received was very effective. I loved everything!!! Thank you!!! 🙏❤️🌺
